You say you don’t have time for therapy
You know you want to make some changes in your life, but you don’t know where you’ll find the time.
Therapy is no longer restricted to in-person office visits during normal business hours. Counselors use technology to provide flexibility to where services can be rendered.
What is Telehealth?
Telehealth is a way that counselors can work with clients through telecommunication devices, such as telephones and computers.
Clients have an opportunity to receive services anywhere they have a secure Internet connection, whether it be at home or on their lunch break.
Helping more people
Telehealth grants you an opportunity to incorporate counseling into your busy schedule.
Sometimes weather, lack of transportation, or shortage of providers in a particular area prevents clients from receiving quality care.
Telehealth widens the availability of services to a larger community.
Limitations to consider
Telehealth is not for everyone. Before we agree to proceed with your first telehealth session, we will discuss the advantages to receiving services via telehealth as well as limitations associated with it.
Some telehealth limitations could pertain to the compatibility of your device, the strength of the secure network, the level of confidentiality, and the personal connection between the client and the therapist.
